…with Hengdong Chilli:
For once, there is an heirloom chilli in China, with a toponym (a name based on the place it comes from).
With the (hi)story going that it used to be a tribute pepper, a chilli that was delivered to the Chinese emperor’s court as tribute.
With typical uses, traditional combinations… which are a bit peculiar.
Listen and you’ll hear about those.
heatstories will, predominantly, be a podcast, not me talking, of course.
This sort of story around a hot spice, and how hardly anyone is telling any such stories, planted the seed, though.
